Scope

The quality level of the education being offered to the students as on the date is excellent. In all in the campus, there are 1768 students. Student academic performances is supervised, guided and monitored by counsellors nominated from the faculty strength of each department. The students of each departments have their own association to guide them in building their awareness through their representations in co-curriculum activities such as seminars, conventions, technical contests, expert lectures, industrial visits, industry-institute interaction and other extra-curricular activities. The institution has an independent Training 8 Placement cell with representatives from each department to take care of the students' practical training and placements includeing the necessary career guidance.

The performance of the students at University level has been outstanding over the years with students securing many University ranks almost in all University Examinations. A centralised library meeting the needs of all the branches has been computerised for faster search and access of books to students and faculty.

In the field of sports and games too, the institution offers all the assistance through an independent department of physical education and a well planned and built sports complex. There is one NCC unit (Air Force) and NSS unit functioning effectively.

Amma says it is important that the students not forget that we share this planet with many others and how we use our knowledge impacts them as well as ourselves. For this reason there is an animal park at the center of the engineering complex to remind students of this.
