Adipooram Festival

The Adipooram Ocal was celebrated on 20th October 2002 at the Melmaruvathur Suyambhu Arulmigu Adhiparasakthi Siddhar PeedamVaravazipattu Mandram, Kadhiranna Palayam, Indiranagar,Opp BMTC 6th Dippo, Bangalore - 560038 India. The ceremony commenced with participation of all Sakthis in joint prayers to Adhiparasakthi &Thiru Adigalar. On this day the special offering to Adhiparasakthi was the rice pooridge. The pooridge was made in the early hours on festival day in the Mandram.

Each Sakthi carried the pot, containing the pooridge on his or her head, around the Kadirannapalayam town, to the mandapam for offering. Joint prayers were said, after which the devotees stood in line to partake in the pooridge. This was finally followed by an Prasadham to all devotees. This year the number of Sakthis who participated in the festival, was almost double that of last year. We earnestly hope that next year there will be a larger number of Sakthis attending the festival. May Annai's blessings be showered on all her devotees.
